Programming that learns the athlete.

Stratum is a coaching platform built for serious training. Adaptive Load methodology, per-athlete calibration, real periodization structure across powerlifting, strength and conditioning, and hypertrophy work. Built by a coach, for coaches and the lifters they work with.

The problem

Most coaching apps treat every athlete the same.

Generic RPE recommendations. Cookie-cutter block templates. Volume metrics that don’t distinguish between a backoff set and a top set. Recovery scores that don’t know your athlete from anyone else’s. Programming that doesn’t adapt whether you’re training for a powerlifting meet, a sport season, or a hypertrophy block.

For most lifters, that’s fine. For serious work, it falls apart.

The Stratum approach

What Stratum does differently.

Programming that learns your athlete

Stratum's calibration engine compares predicted readiness against actual performance, every session. Over time, it learns whether your athlete tends to over-report fatigue, under-report it, or read recovery accurately. Programming recommendations factor in that bias. A 13-signal composite risk score flags early overreaching before performance drops — gated by data sufficiency so it doesn't project from noise.

Adaptive Load across modalities

Adaptive Load accounts for positional demand, axial loading, and stance. A 315 squat demands more from the system than a 315 leg press, even though the load is the same. Stratum knows the difference and weights volume credit accordingly — so systemic fatigue reflects actual demand, not just tonnage — across powerlifting, S&C, and hypertrophy programming.

Subjective accuracy tracking

Most apps trust check-in scores at face value. Stratum tracks the gap between subjective recovery reports and objective performance, then surfaces that pattern to the coach. Athletes log 17 daily biofeedback fields — energy, soreness, sleep quality, stress, appetite, joint pain, HRV, resting heart rate, and more — in under 60 seconds. This feeds the overreaching detection engine alongside session data, giving the calibration engine a richer picture of athlete state between training sessions.

Appointments built into the platform

A built-in appointments calendar handles consults, check-in calls, in-person sessions, and competition calls — with automatic Google Calendar sync and Google Meet links generated for every remote appointment. After a consult, send a payment link in one tap.

Modalities

Built for the work you actually do.

Stratum supports three training modalities, each with sport-specific defaults, volume landmarks, and programming structure.

Powerlifting

  • 8/4/2/1 block periodization
  • Adaptive Load tracking on SBD lifts
  • Attempt selection and meet prep mode
  • Per-lift e1RM trajectory
  • Volume landmarks tuned for powerlifting work

Strength and Conditioning

  • Sport-specific programming defaults
  • Conditioning interval programming alongside strength work
  • ATL/CTL/TSB fitness trajectory
  • Mixed-modality block structure in one program

Hypertrophy

  • Per-muscle volume tracking (MEV/MAV/MRV)
  • Higher volume landmarks tuned for hypertrophy response
  • Auto-progression logic for accessory work
  • Body part split or full body templates

Coaches

Bring your roster onto a platform built for the work you actually do. Per-athlete adaptive thresholds, real periodization structure, programming intelligence across powerlifting, S&C, and hypertrophy work.

Self-coached athletes

A coaching tool for athletes without a coach. Block-based programming, calibrated to your readiness data. Built around your actual training — whether you’re building a total, a season, or muscle.

Stratum lands on iOS in August.
